Security Console for United States Air Force

Modern Technologies, located in O'Fallon, IL, required a security console for a project located on the United States Air Force Base in Yokota, Japan. One of the consoles needed to be arranged in a large, U-shaped configuration. The rear of the worksurface required custom-fabricated metal turrets for mounting phones and radios, with cutouts for other communications equipment.

In addition, this project included a separate workstation with six LCD flat-panel displays to be arranged on monitor riser shelves. The desk consoles included keyboard storage trays with wrist rests located under the worksurfaces. Next to this workstation, Air Force maintenance personnel required a matching computer equipment storage rack with computers and communications gear accessible by pull-out style trays.

Another project requirement was ensuring that AbleVIEW consoles fit the available space. To guarantee a smooth installation experience, the ImageVision sales team provided AutoCAD layout drawings of the furniture within the control room floor plan with the initial proposal.
