Modern Technology a security system OEM located in O'Fallon, IL, required custom security console furniture for a project located on the US Air Force Base in Yokota Japan. One of the security consoles needed to be arranged in a large "U-shaped" configuration. The back side of the console desk work surfaces called for custom fabricated metal turrets for mounting phones and radios with cutouts for other communications equipment. Security personnel also needed document storage modules under the work surfaces, as well as CPU shelves.

In addition, this project had an operator workstation with 6 LCD flat panel displays to be arranged on monitor riser shelves. The desk consoles had keyboard storage trays with wrist rests located under the work surfaces. Along side this operator workstation, the customer needed a matching computer equipment storage rack. Air Force maintenance personnel wanted the computers and communications gear located in the equipment cabinets to be on pull-out style trays.

Another requirement in this security console application was to insure the custom units provided by ImageVision would fit the available space in the existing command center. To insure the system integration process and furniture installation went smoothly, AutoCAD layout drawings of both the console furniture and the control room floor plan were provided with our proposal.
