Brewhouse Control System
A key project objective for Anheuser-Busch was to achieve a “showcase control room” appearance suitable for an area of their facility frequently visited by tour groups. It was important that their computer room and console “reflect” the quality of their brewing process and products.

In this installation, brewhouse operators sit inside a circular console, allowing them a 360 degree view of their process through “wrap around” windows. The operator interface was accomplished via two large process control monitors embedded in the wall of the control room. These monitoring stations display process status and data acquisition results. In addition, dedicated batch control touch screen monitors were configured around the console. Each operator position was furnished with a pull out keyboard tray and mouse pad area that could be stored under the console counter top. The console base housed process control computers, data acquisition system, servers, and other computer equipment.

 We utilized our design, engineering, and fabrication capabilities to deliver an extensive array of custom enclosure options to meet this customer’s unique project objectives. We provided console countertops in solid surface Corian material. The interior of the console employed our standard all-steel frame construction with powder coat finish. This insured the console will retain the structural integrity of our 3,000 lb. frame load rating… as well as its good looks…for a long time! The outside of the computer console was finished with a “skirting” of maple wood veneer. This application represents an excellent example of performing a key ImageVision objective:
